Welcome to the Master of Athletic Training program at Youngstown State University (YSU), where we channel your passion for sport and science into a career dedicated to enhancing the performance and well-being of not only athletes but for everyone.Â
Our comprehensive curriculum, consisting of a total of 64 semester hours, integrates advanced theoretical knowledge with extensive practical training. As part of this program, you’ll dive into core areas such as injury prevention, clinical examination and diagnosis, immediate and emergency care, therapeutic interventions and healthcare administration.
Bolstered by hands-on learning experiences across various clinical settings, you’ll develop the essential skills and clinical reasoning abilities demanded in the field of athletic training. The program culminates with a research project, equipping you with the confidence to explore, innovate, and lead in pursuing evidence-based healthcare.

Instructional, General and Technology fees are required of all graduate students except where noted). Although the graduate bulk-rate band is from 12-18 hours, graduate students are considered full-time for academic purposes at 6 hours and above.
