Umble Faculty Recital

YSU’s Dana School of Music presents the Umble Faculty Recital.

Professor of music James Umble will perform a new piece of music written for saxophone and piano by New York City composer and jazz musician Patrick Zimmerli. Zimmerli has written for a number of fine performers, including jazz great Brad Mehldau and flutist Jasmine Choi. Besides jazz compositions, Zimmerli also enjoys writing works that are notated and that combine both jazz and classical influences. His new piece, written specifically for Dr. Umble, draws on both jazz and classical roots and language.

Dr. Da-Eun Choi will serve as the pianist for this recital.

Entry to this event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the Wick Avenue Deck (M30) for a $5 fee payable in cash only.
