DALS – Katie Butler
The Department of Art Lecture Series presents Katie Butler.
Butler is a painter based in Akron, Ohio. Her allegorical still-life paintings provide critical commentary on the financial disparities in American society. She received her B.F.A. from the University of Akron in 2017 and her M.F.A. from Kent State University in 2021.
Butler will present her studio work from 1:00 – 2:45 PM in the McDonough Museum of Art, with a lecture following at 3:30 PM in the museum’s lecture hall (room 3000).
Entry to this event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the Wick Avenue Deck (M30) for a $5 fee payable in cash only.
